After reading the words of Savage Inequalities by Jonathan Kola, I was given countless explanations on how deprivation of funds, opportunity and education affect a community in a negative light. The author ventured into the city of East SST. Louis, examined the environment and gave readers a first-hand observation of the people who live there. As a reader, one will get an in depth illustration on how negligent politics affect the overall condition of a city that was initially one of the most economically sound cities in America. Many years ago, E. SST. Louis was an industrialized city of great opportunity Now lays the abandoned structures that once gave the city financial stability. Kola informed the audience of how E. SST. Louis inhabitants have to succumb to the endless problems that come with living in one of the poorest cities in America, and how it affects their everyday lives. Although corrupt ileitis affect the economy and education systems of this city, adequate leadership would be of great Justice to the rehabilitation of E. SST. Louis. For many years, the corrupt politics in E. SST. Louis has heavily affected its physical appearance. From streets in need of major repair to a sewage system that is backed- up throughout the city, there seems to never be enough money to fix the infinite list of problems. After being $40 million in debt, former Governor James Thompson proposed an emergency state loan to keep city staff in the workplace. In order for the loan to go in affect, Governor Thompson requested that the current mayor resign from office. The lack of good leadership affects many of the critical responsibilities that need taken care of within the city. For some reason the funds that are designated to help maintain E. SST. Louis, somehow fall into the pockets of city officials. This is why I think that adequate leadership would serve as a solution to fix the overall problem within the city. The second leading cause for hardships and poverty in E. SST. Louis is the failing economic structure that is one of the many factors affected due to the political system. Labeled as the most distressed city in America, nearly one third of E. SST. Louis population lives on an average income of $7,500 a year. Drastic lay-offs due to financial shortages left over a thousand city workers unemployed. Consequently, due to the lay-offs many tasks in the city were left undone because of the shortages in city workers. Although E. SST. Louis appears to be a city with no opportunity for employment this has not always been the case. For many years E. SST. Louis was a very industrialized city with many opportunities for black families migrating from the southern states. Now that industrialized times have passed, and most of the plants simply disappeared, the open Jobs that once held up the economy went along with them. Education is one of the most neglected factors that affect the productivity and chances for E. SST. Louis citizens to have an equal chance of living The American but also one of the most inadequate. Some of the E. SST. Louis school districts flaws that Kola touched on included the inadequate plumbing system, out of date books, ND the under-representation of staff and administration. In other words, there is a deficit among the number of resources that is given to the school district and the physical appearance of the schools that inhabit this particular school district. Other issues were oriented toward the districts extra-curricular activities, such as worn-out football Jerseys or poor equipment. Because school is a childs training ground for life, attaining an education in E. SST. Louis school district could predict an either or future for a student. Either a student will allow a presumably unsatisfactory school district fail them, or they will rise above the inadequacies and strive for something more. Although many underlying factors affect the citizens of East SST. Louis, based off Kohls information, I think that it is the political, economic and education systems that affect them the most. Furthermore, I think that the political system is the starting domino that perpetuates problems unto the citys economic and education systems. Because the citys political power is corrupted and ran by individuals with ulterior datives, the economy is directly affected by debt. I imagine that the debt that the city collects affect the education system because of the inability to keep up with current books or refurbish the schools infrastructure. With that being said the lack in leadership plays a major part in managing the funds that should be transferred to its respective places, which obviously is not being done. From reading Kohls work the city of E. SST. Louis is in desperate need of strong leadership to dig its community out of a hole that has lasted for over 50 years.

MISERY - NOT AS MISERABLE AS THE FIRST Stephen King's novel Misery is involving, exciting, intense, highly suspenseful, and definitely gruesome. Misery was full of unexpected and atypical imagery involving such items as axes, saws, land mowers, crosses, and other gardening utensils that were used to sear human flesh. Although I have been desensitized to this kind of violence by spending my youth in front of Pay-Per-View television, I still found the grizzly amputations and lacerations unnerving. Although the novel can be a turnoff for those with weak stomachs for its portrayal of senseless violence, I found the elements of surprise and excitement to be the most appealing aspects. I especially enjoyed the ending of Misery, which provided a thrilling climax when Paul and Annie had their final confrontation ending in the defeat of "evil".Not everything about Misery was to my liking. For example, I did not enjoy the "novel within a novel" facet of the book.Misery (novel)I found this distraction unnecessary and not overly usef ul in adding value and proved to not be constructive in furthering the main storyline. Although the chance coincidence of a number-one fan finding her idol glues this story together, it is not entirely believable. Furthermore, I believe that some aspects of provoking disgust were taken too far, as is the case when Paul Sheldon is forced to drink his own urine. My final complaint is the insufficient detail of Annie's laughing place. Descriptive aspects were omitted leaving more to be desired. Many books I read are far less interesting than Misery allowing me to place this book in the top echelon of books I've read that I consider being enjoyable.I have seen several of Stephen King's movies such as Pet cemetery, The Shinning, Shawshank Redemption, and The Storm of the Century. If I talk about myself, I would say that stress that directly affects my ability to think or react appropriately. For example, when my manager asks me to upload completed work within a short span of time, I feel stress on me that not only affects the quality of work but also make me nervous at times. Less opportunities or chances of promotion in my company is also a source of stress for me that I often feel both at work and at home. I have the aim to reach one of the top management positions in whatever company I work. For example, if I am working in a call center company as a sales official, I would like to jump onto the position of sales team manager within weeks. I do not want to work for the same position for longer periods. Whenever I see some of my teammate or some other employee getting promotion to some higher level, I feel stressed. The underlying cause of this stress is again my own will to gain promotions as early as possible. It is obvious that one has to work hard for years or at least for a few months to get promotion. Promotion to the next level is not given on the performance of a few weeks in any company to anyone. I know this fact but still want to make quick progress, which is the underlying cause of stress for me whenever I see someone getting promotions. Here, I would also like to mention one of the main sources of stress related to my personal life. I cannot put up with criticism of any type from anyone. I want everyone to praise me in whatever I do and when I feel that someone is trying to teach me or guide me about something which, according to my own perception, I am doing right, I feel stressed. For example, while driving my car, I do not want anyone to instruct me how I should drive. It is my habit to drive a little fast. Often the traffic cops stop my car and say to me, ââ¬Ëhey, how are you driving, donââ¬â¢t you know the way to drive?ââ¬â¢ Such comments from others put me in stress. I know I should not feel such comments because the mistake is at my end in these types of cases but I start feeling pressure on my nerves. In understanding the Mosaic dietary laws maintained in the books of the Old Testament, it is necessary to consider the early restrictions placed on certain types of food consumption, the restrictions outlined by Moses for the people of God, and the implications of these eating restrictions both then and in the modern era. What must be recognized is that ââ¬Å"To this day, these rulesââ¬âwith variations, but always guided by Mosaic lawsââ¬âare followed by many orthodox Jewsâ⬠(2). Jewish religious practices, then, are based not only in their ancestral ordinances, but in the specificity of Mosaic law in terms of dietary limitations and circumcision (3). Relating the significance, then, of early restrictions and their application to Mosaic law, as well as an understanding of the role of Moses, are elements important in understanding Mosaic dietary laws. My Ambition Essay
Living in the modern world, a person really needs to know what he wants to do. In order to lead a meaningful and colorful life, everyone needs an ambition. If one does not have an ambition, he will be like a ship sailing on the wide sea blindly. That is why I have made up my mind to become a reporter since my childhood. When I was a little girl, I often daydreamed. If I were a reporter, everything would be great. I could get the latest information and report the news to the world on TV. When I walked on the street, people would recognize me and probably would shout ââ¬Å" OH, my godï ¼ Thatââ¬â¢s she-the perfect reporterï ¼ â⬠Then I would feel proud of myself. You will become a reporter, an outstanding reporterï ¼ â⬠As time goes by, I never change my mind. I still have a strong desire to be a reporter. The five main points are that; Whitman uses I in the collective form, celebration of being an American, national figures death, patterns of life, death, and rebirth, and the peoples connection with nature. I celebrate myself, and sing myself, And what I assume, you shall assume, For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you(1.1-3). Whitman begins Song of Myself, with these confident lines. In these few words he explains that when he celebrates and sings, we should also be celebrating and singing. That we are all connected together and what he knows we also know. When he continues on in the poem he is not singularly referring to himself but everybody, that all have these thoughts and ideas. This is why he uses grass in the question that the child asks, since grass has roots all over everybody is involved. Also, he later states we have several things in common, including the air that covers all. Everybody is part of a larger force, the universe and every person becomes undistinguishable from it. In conjunction with Whitman using I as a collective form he, also focuses on the celebration of being an American. He describes what various people do in their lives to make then what they are, whether they are a singer or a carpenter they celebrate their life as an American. History of LEGO Everyone's Favorite Building Blocks The small, colorful bricks that encourage a childs imagination with their multitude of building possibilities have spawned two movies and Legoland theme parks. But more than that, these simple building blocks keep children as young as 5 engaged in creating castles, towns and space stations and anything else their creative minds can think of. This is the epitome of the educational toy wrapped up in fun. These attributes have made LEGO an icon in the toy world. Beginnings The company that makes these famous interlocking bricks started as a small shop in Billund, Denmark. The company was established in 1932 by master carpenter Ole Kirk Christiansen, who was aided by his 12-year-old son Godtfred Kirk Christiansen. It made wooden toys, stepladders, and ironing boards. It wasnt until two years later that the business took the name of LEGO, which came from the Danish words LEg GOdt, meaning play well. Over the next several years, the company grew exponentially. From just a handful of employees in the early years, LEGO had grown to 50 employees by 1948. The product line had grown as well, with the addition of a LEGO duck, clothes hangers, a Numskull Jack on the goat, a plastic ball for babies and some wooden blocks. In 1947, the company made a huge purchase that was to transform the company and make it world-famous and a household name. In that year, LEGO bought a plastic injection-molding machine, which could mass produce plastic toys. By 1949, LEGO was using this machine to produce about 200 different kinds of toys, which included automatic binding bricks, a plastic fish and a plastic sailor. The automatic binding bricks were the predecessors of the LEGO toys of today. Birth of the LEGO Brick In 1953, the automatic binding bricks were renamed LEGO bricks. In 1957, the interlocking principle of LEGO bricks was born, and in 1958, the stud-and-coupling system was patented, which adds significant stability to built pieces. And thisà transformed them into the LEGO bricks we know today. Also in 1958, Ole Kirk Christiansen passed away and his son Godtfred became head of the LEGO company. By the early 1960s, LEGO had gone international, with sales in Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Germany, and Lebanon. Over the next decade, LEGO toys were available in more countries, and they came to the United States in 1973. LEGO Sets In 1964, for the first time, consumers could buy LEGO sets, which included all the parts and instructions to build a particular model. In 1969, the DUPLO series, bigger blocks for smaller hands, was introduced for the 5-and-under set. LEGO later introduced themed lines of LEGO. They include town (1978), castle (1978), space (1979), pirates (1989), Western (1996), Star Wars (1999) and Harry Potter (2001). Figures with movable arms and legs were introduced in 1978. By 2015, LEGO toys were sold in more than 140 countries. Since the middle of the 20th century, these small plastic bricks have sparked the imagination of children around the world, and LEGO sets have a strong hold on their place at the top of the list of the worlds most popular toys.

This diversity affects motivation, success, performance and interactions with others within the organizations. In order for an organization to manage diversity to enable its success, the managers and other leaders must have a broader perspective on diversity which will enable them to include a variety of other dimensions (Choi & Rainey, 2010). Diversity in the workplace has been managed by many organizations enabling them to succeed (Cook & Glass, 2009). Workplace diversity management is the process of managerial for developing an environment that is suitable for all the employees. This will enable all staff to feel that they are included and not excluded in the management process (Herring, 2009). The staff will have a good relationship that enables employees to deal with the important issues that may arise later as explained by Yang and Konrad (2011). Implementat ion of diversity in the workplace involves creation of an inclusive environment that values and welcomes the contributions and talents of other people with different experiences, backgrounds and perspectives (Wood, 2012). Therefore, the paper reviews various literature works on the management diversity in organizations focusing on the following research questions: 1. How has diversity management enabled business organizations to prosper? 2. How managers and human resource directors ensures diversity implementation. The objectives of the study include the following; 1. To enable an individual to understand himself or herself in relationship to the people around them. This involves oneââ¬â¢s own place within cultures, demographic subgroups and cultures and how these characteristics affect how they think and act (Hughes, 2012). 2. To understand the people around us including the peers, subordinates, our bosses, customers and other competitors. 3. To understand the process leading to usual reactions to anger, difference, hatred and fear and learn the positive way of responding to them. 4. To understand how management of diversity is related to strategic changes in organizations. 5. To equip one with management skills that improves outcome due to the fact that business environment, organizations and workforce are becoming more diverse. Organizational Frames Hughes (2012) explains that inclusiveness is useful in diversity management. In order to realize its usefulness, managers and human resource directors must identify the motives they have behind their interest in diversity (Visagie et al, 2011). The managers and directors should also identify the specific ways the organizations will benefit from diversity (Choi & Rainey, 2010). The success of diversity will depend whether the organization wants to tolerate, manage, harness, leverage, value or celebrate diversity (Wood, 2012). The outcomes organizations achieve are affected by the initiatives of framing workpla ce diversity (Visagie et al, 2011). Depending on how an organization defines diversity, the outcomes will be affected greatly (Hughes, 2012). It works by preventing the bacteria from creating or developing cell walls that cause severe infections. In this case, the clavulanic acid stops bacteria from generating a chemical that can resist the amoxicillin. The combination of these ingredients enhances the spectrum of action and restores the efficacy of the drug against resistant to the bacteria (Hochadel, 2006, p. 69). The active elements found in co-amoxiclav are amoxicillin trihydrarate as well as potassium clavulanante. The other constituents include microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide, and even magnesium steate (Joint Formulary Committee, 2014, p. 360). The co-amoxiclav is available in tablets form effective for adults and liquid state that is suitable for children. The drug is administered within different dose strengths that are based on the infection that is being treated. In most cases, the bacterial infections clear after two to three days after using this medication (ODonohue, et al, 2002). Co-amoxiclav effectively treats open wounds caused by animal bites because it is an antibiotic. The drug consists of Augmentin injection, suspension, Augmentin-duo and also tablets with active components of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid (Kamphof ,Rustemeyer & Bruynzeel, 2002).
